The Governor Set is a set of three special implements:
- The Reformatory Tawse is made from our heavy 10oz (4.5mm) dense Oak Bark Tanned Harness Leather of the finest quality. It measures three inches wide and 15 inches long. Just like our Reformatory Paddle, it has a unique lace-up handle. However, this is a tawse, not a paddle and has three tongues, each one inch wide.
- The Judicial Paddle is 13 inches long by 3 inches wide. This is a perfect implement for a good OTK spanking as it is shorter and easier to handle. The five holes give it perfect aero-dynamics to ensure that sting is felt long after the spanking is over.
- The Lochgelly Tawse measures 21 inches by 1.5 inches wide and has two 9 inch tails. It is a replica of one used in Scottish Schools up until the 1970s. It delivers a powerful reminder for good behaviour, traditionally applied to the palm of the hand.
All our implements are 100% hand-crafted from beginning to end. Made with care and attention for the perfect piece! We only use the best quality thick Oak Bark Tanned Harness Leather and in a choice of Rich Tobacco Brown or Black. It is beveled and burnished to a glass-smooth finish, with a saddlers crease around the edge. Not only amazing to use and feel, but beautiful to the eye too.
Although we try to select the perfect piece of leather for our implements, sometimes the leather does have slight blemishes and grain. Also, because this is a natural material, colour may vary slightly from hide to hide. This, however, we feel is what adds to its individual natural character.
